Vietnam Innovation Awards (EN) - CHOSEN GROUP

CHOSEN Digital, a tech startup from Thailand, wins the Global TOP 5 Innovation Awards  (1st  place in the Sustainable Innovation Award category) from the Prime Minister of Vietnam at the Global Innovation Competition  The Vietnam Innovation Challenge in Hanoi, Vietnam, as well as the launch  of Innovate Vietnam 2024, as well as the 5th  anniversary celebration of the Vietnam National Innovation Center or NIC - Vietnam National Innovation Center, which was attended by dignitaries from the Vietnamese government, embassies, and executives of the world's leading companies such as Meta, Intel, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Google, and many others.

The event was honored by Prime Minister  Pham Minh Chinh as both the Chairman of the Event and the gives Awards to  the TOP 5 Innovation Awards. The event was attended by dignitaries from various ministries, central and local government agencies, research institutes, universities, domestic and foreign companies, banks, investment funds, embassies, global organizations, and other countries. Innovation support agencies, media representatives, and other distinguished guests.

During the event The Prime Minister acknowledged and awarded the TOP 5 innovations at the Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2024 (VIC 2024) organized by NIC and Meta, including CHOSEN Digital from Thailand - an EV Energy Aggregator that collects EV energy into large-scale energy to be able to control the load and trade that energy (Won Sustainable Innovation Award). Cadence, a global leader in automation in electronics design and chip design. Nexus Photonics from the United States co-founded with Vietnam specializing in optical chip design in the semiconductor industry (won the Best Trend Establishment Award), AI FPT from Vietnam (won the AI Innovation for Future Award), Viettel from Vietnam (won the Innovation Star Award). In addition, 15 outstanding innovation awards (TOP15) were presented representing large enterprises, SMEs, and startups.

This event highlights NIC’s extraordinary transformation over the past five years, embodying its core values of "Aspiration - Pioneering - Breakthrough", and affirming its critical role in elevating Vietnam’s national innovation ecosystem. Innovate Vietnam 2024 also marks the first anniversary of NIC Hòa Lạc, a symbol of NIC's mission to turn innovative ideas into reality, generate groundbreaking solutions, drive business growth, and establish the largest innovation hub in Vietnam. Over the last five years, NIC has fostered an enabling environment for businesses, startups, and researchers to develop and implement cutting-edge technologies. Additionally, NIC has been instrumental in encouraging collaboration between the government, universities, and enterprises, with the government playing a key role in connecting resources, shaping comprehensive development strategies, and supporting entrepreneurs in enhancing innovation capacity, especially startups in their development stages. To develop high-quality human resources, NIC implements diverse programs, including scholarships, training programs, and networking events with the participation of many domestic and international partners, especially in the semiconductor and AI industries in line with the government's policy. It continues to climb the Global Innovation Index 2024 rankings and ranks first in the world in three indices: high-tech imports, high-tech exports, and creative goods exports.

Mr.Worapoj said that CHOSEN believes in Green, believes in Electric Vehicles and there will be a lots of EV and Chargers in the market but bigger than that is the Energy and still very rare solutions. The Big Brands have solution that can control only their own and cannot manage or control all other brands as the whole picture makes it complicated for the users or even bigger as the buildings and up the national grid scale. CHOSEN is the EV Energy Aggregator. We can combine or aggregate all kinds of EV Chargers, Brands, Protocols with Global Standard OCPP, non-OCPP and even non communication chargers which never happen before. Especially home EV Chargers which most bundle for free from new EV cars. It has no communication but more than 80% of EV users charge at home. It is the biggest load of EV but without any solution that can manage it. CHOSEN develops technology to be able to control all and when we combine individual energy of many EV is huge energy larger than several Power Plants. We use AI for manage and optimize the load not the effect the existing infrastructure like transformers, electric cable, meters, etc. in every house, buildings upto the national grid which did not decide for this new EV load before. It could be overloaded and electric shutdown for the whole area. It needs huge investment to upgrade the whole infrastructure. With this Innovation Solution is 1st time in the world and start to have many countries contacting.
